Paochueh Temple was established in 1927 and venerates Gautama Buddha as the primary deity. After World War II , cinders of Japanese soldiers killed in Taiwan were not claimed. The abbot of Paochueh Temple can't bear to see these souls abandoned, so he decided to place it into the temple.
